Finding PathWays Through Complexity

The corner piece

The Corner Piece is an homage to how people instinctively begin a puzzle—with what is most certain. Corner pieces are easy to identify, they define the boundaries, and they bring early clarity to something that might otherwise feel overwhelming. They create structure, and offer a place to start when things feel fragmented and the full picture isn’t yet visible.

That’s how I approach my work. In complex challenges, the hardest part is often not solving the problem—it’s knowing where to begin. I work with organizations to find their “corner pieces”: the elements that are clear, grounded, and actionable. From there, we begin to build.

A core strength I bring is the ability to see connections and patterns across what can feel like disparate or even competing priorities—strategy, operations, stakeholder needs, culture, and external context. Often, what looks like a tangle of issues is actually a system waiting to be understood differently. By reframing the challenge and identifying the right starting points, I help teams move from ambiguity to direction, and from direction to action.

I support values-driven nonprofit and for-profit organizations in business strategy, sustainability strategy, learning and capability development, and the design of engaging, meaningful workshops, meetings, and conferences.

I bring over 20 years of experience spanning corporate leadership and international nonprofit work. In my work with clients and stakeholders, I prioritize these tenets:

  • Adaptive and Responsive
I design for what’s needed in the moment. In complex, evolving contexts, I stay flexible—adjusting in real time to ensure the work remains relevant and useful.

  • Built on Listening
I partner closely with clients and stakeholders, grounding the work in deep listening. By creating space for people to share openly, I’m able to surface diverse perspectives and design work that reflects what’s really needed.

  • Tailored, Not Template
No two challenges are the same. I draw on proven methods, but every engagement is shaped by the specific context—asking the right questions to get to the heart of the matter.
